“your neighborhoodbar bar and grill”
The Green Lake's first competitive mashed potato eating contest happens this Thanksgiving! Sponsored by the Greenlake Bar & Grill, this competitive eating contest is destined to become the talk of the local community. As a contestant or a spectator, be sure to come watch this event. Purchase a raffle ticket for $1 and then wait to see onsite if you are one of the eight lucky people who get selected to compete in this competitive eating event. All eight contestants will compete head to head to see who can eat the most mashed potatoes within four minutes time. A winner will be crowned, given all the money raised via the raffle entry and will additionally win a life-time entry into the 5K portion of the Green Lake Gobble 5K event (for as long as it exists). In 2009, the winner won more than $100. The award winning Greenlake Bar & Grill is located on Greenlake Drive North in the center of a fun & vibrant lake community. Surrounded by year round activities with great lake access, Greenlake Bar & Grill is a favorite of locals and visitors alike. Greenlake Bar & Grill has won the "Best Cummunities" Award from Komo 4 News, "Best Happy Hour in Greenlake" in 2010 and "Best Neighborhood Restaurant" from Seattle Magazine in 2007. Experience the affordable & diverse food and drink menu while enjoying lake views in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. If the sun is shining, sidewalk dining at Greenlake Bar & Grill can't be beat. Open daily for lunch, dinner and happy hour and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.
