“Refreshingly low-tech”
Walk into Brave Horse Tavern and you'll notice a refreshingly low-tech vibe. Locally brewed suds on tap accompany shuffleboard players and sandwich devourers, the latter comfortably stationed at long communal tables and maybe catching the game on one of the bar's flat screens. ADVENTUROUS ALES Try the beergarita, made with the barrel-aged, sour La Folie ale. Fried cheese curds worth the grease-guilt. These crispy bites of perfection come with zesty mustard for dipping. What you may not notice right away — not until you get to the frequently tweaked menu, at least — is that this is one of Seattle darling Tom Douglas's establishments. You can confirm it with a single bite of the weekly burger special.
