“Designed in 1915”
The Dunn Gardens is an historic garden designed by the Olmsted Brothers landscaping firm almost one hundred years ago. It is listed on the National Historic Places Trust. Notable features include naturalistic groupings of trees, broad lawns with borders of shrubs, and woodland walks. Plants range from diminutive erythroniums to large rhododendrons and towering Douglas firs. The Dunn Gardens are open to the public for docent-led guided tours. Our regular tour schedule runs from April 1 through July, and from September 1 through October. The gardens are closed in August and on those days on which special events are scheduled. Tours last about 1.5 hours and are held on the following days: Thursdays: 1 p.m. Fridays: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturdays: 10 a.m.
