“zombie walk!”
The Seattle Zombie Walk has been shambling the streets for over 7 years, come join the horde for their biggest walk of the year. Shuffle around the Seattle Center, invade a grocery store, dance to the thriller at the fountain, ambush the ride the duck then get drinks and brag about our zombie stories Minneapolis currently holds the official record with 8,027 participants and was achieved by Zombie Pub Crawl (USA) in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, on 13 October 2012. This year, the growing horde is moving from the Fremont location to the Seattle Center, celebrating popular movie culture’s iconic Zombie with free admission and pub crawl this year. Come and join the zombie horde! The Seattle Zombie Walk has continued to shuffle around the region often setting walks around conventions, movie opening nights and other strange events. Ryan Reiter of Fremont Outdoor Cinemas joined the Zombie team as an outstanding zombie producer, organizing the Red White and Dead party which lead to Seattle Breaking the World Record on July 3rd 2009 with 3,894 zombies! The bloody and framed record didn’t even have time to collect dust on it when England broke the World Record by a rave in england called the ‘Big Chill Festival’ with 4,026 Zombies. Not to be beaten by the British, the Seattle Zombies reunited and beat that record again on July 3rd 2010 by 4200 zombies. The record just keeps changing hands from city to city as the zombie plague spreads far and wide.
Fun for the zombie horde, not fun for the commuters. Seattle's zombie walk is probably my favorite one in the country and I've done quite a few. There's always a HUGE turn out with lots of awesome costumes and everyone is really there just to have a great time. If you've zombie walked before you'll love it, if you haven't prepare to have an awesome time!
