There is such a cute little octopus thing. Then there's actually a real octopus who is also really cool. The best part is feeding the seals. If you stay at a local hotel, many give you a coupon for a free thing of seal food.

Seaside Aquarium is privately-owned and one of the oldest aquariums on the West Coast. Underwater areas take you into a fascinating world of unusual rare life forms - a spectacular 20-ray Sunflower sea star, a ferocious Wolf eel or a deadly Moray eel. Members from the resident family of Harbor seals will swim up to their front exhibition tank to entertain you--especially if you toss them a fish!

Not expensive. Small little aquarium. Nice to check it out if you're in the area. But wouldn't go out of my way to visit. It was cute to feed the seals. And there is a neat octopus there. Some interactive things for the kids.

Before I say this, I just want to clear up that I’m in no way some hippy woo woo person. I live in a very conservative part of the PNW and I LOVE aquariums. That being said, this place is disgusting and horrifying. They are currently under investigation for atrocities against all of “their” animals that are held in Pig pens, for lack of a better description. Extremely filthy environment not just for the animals but for people that visit. There are diseases that can be caught from from the seals here and vise versa. I absolutely do not recommend visiting this “establishment.” They’ve been breeding these poor seals in captivity since the 1950’s and it’s time for it to be shut down. Shame on these people. Simple greed and exploitation. There are plenty of far greater activities in Seaside.
