The original site of the first county seat of Jones County from 1840-1847 includes 12 buildings; with an original log cabin; schoolhouse; church; depot and blacksmith shop. New buildings house authentic documents; pictures; furniture; equipment and artifacts of the past. Special activities are held on Edinburgh Day (the Sunday before Labor Day weekend).
Really cool. Only open on Sundays though. We didn't get to walk through but still enjoyed looking. At the turn in there is a haunted mansion called Edinburgh Manor. Really neat little stop.

This should be taken off the network as this is not a “ghost town” it’s a museum with very specific rules (and a bad website). Whatever cool stuff used to be here is no longer
My husband and I were really excited to see it but they we couldn’t see anything at all. The town basically disappeared. So we tried the manor & it was closed as well. Personally, I feel like we wasted gas.
