“Welcome to the Local!”
Located in the historic Dublin Neighborhood of Saratoga Springs’ west side on the corner of Beekman Street and Grand Avenue, The Local Pub and Teahouse is a neighborhood bar/restaurant serving traditional English and Irish specialties with a unique selection of craft beers and organic teas from around the world. Known regionally as the best Fish and Chips you can find, The Local features a variety of food options; ranging from “poutine” fries, chicken wings, Bangers and Mash, and Shepard’s Pie to a wide variety of healthy tea sandwiches and a large selection of fresh salads which one customer referred to as the “best cobb salad in Saratoga Springs”. Our Paul Smith’s culinary trained chef takes pride in preparing classic pub style food in a mouth- watering fashion with great daily specials and a fresh made soup or chili of the day. You will be able to enjoy yourself whether you’re looking for a beer and a burger or some tea and a salad without emptying your wallet. Most food options range from $6 to $10 with a daily dinner special ranging from $11-$15. This is truly home style cooking at an affordable price tag. Affectionately known as “The Local”, keeping with Irish tradition of referring to the closest neighborhood pub as “their local”, you will find friendly and attentive servers who quickly remember your name after a few visits. Having been named for several awards every year since their first year of operation, come find out why The Local has been honored with “Best Beer Selection”, “Best Fish and Chips”, “Best Burger” and “Best Neighborhood Bar”. Golf Digest magazine editor stumbled upon The Local while reviewing local golf courses and couldn’t help but mention in the feature article, “The Local is one of the best watering holes in the Northeast”. Known as the “Best Guinness Pour in Saratoga Springs”, our beer selection is constantly changing with some sort of Pilsner, Lager, Ale, IPA, Hefewiezen and Stout always on tap. If that doesn’t tempt you, there are dozens of specialty bottle beers available to broaden your beer tasting experience. Be careful, some of them can weigh in at a hefty 10.9% ABV. When the weather breaks and you’re ready to get out of the warm, cozy interior of The Local, it’s time to enjoy our Pub Garden filled with café style tables and chairs along with our own uniquely designed “Local” Adirondack chairs. Enjoy a personal pot of tea, your favorite beer or glass of wine and relax under the canopy of the trees and flower filled gardens. It’s certainly become one of the hidden summer retreats in Saratoga Springs. When your belly is full and palette sufficiently wet, take a stroll down Beekman Street, known as the “Arts District”, where you will find a unique selection of galleries and gift shops along with a host of other small businesses and services.

My girlfriend and I stopped here on a long drive back to Vermont. We loved it because it was off Broadway where all the tourists go so it wasn't as busy. They have indoor seating and outdoor... Read more
