The mission of the Santa Maria Valley Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and present the history of the peoples of the Santa Maria Valley. The museum has an extensive library of historical reference material including books, maps, materials from the Santa Maria Geneological Society, and a collection of more than 5,000 photographs in a database.
