“a popular recreational destination in Mid-Michigan”
Sanford Lake Park, a popular recreational destination in Mid-Michigan for 45 years, is the centerpiece of Midland County’s Park System. Situated on 90 acres in western Midland County, including one-half mile of beachfront property, this beautiful park has been totally refurbished, thanks to nearly $2 million in park improvements that are drawing people of all ages and interests to the family-friendly facility. An 18-hole disc golf course, a 4000-sq. foot aquatic themed spray park, swimming, fishing, boating and lakeside and picnics are only a few of the numerous activities available at a park that definitely has the “Wow Factor.” Sanford Lake Park features the only public boat launch on the lake and has special pavilion rental deals available for family gatherings.
Possibly the best beaches in the Tri-cities. Definitely better than Bay City as I recall. Nice lake, nice beach, great place to spend a Saturday.
