“gotta try the John Wayne”
The Gaffey Street Diner is a rarity in this area: an honest to goodness diner, open for breakfast and lunch only. And when it is open, it pumps out amazing food. Located just off the exit for the Terminal Island Bridge (one of the few "real" bridges in Southern California) and a stone's throw from the Cruise Ship Terminal, it's a great place to prepare for a long day of sailing or walking the Harbor and nearby Ports O'Call. Featured on Season 1 of Diners, Drive ins, and Dives!
