Great place to stop on I-40. It's a nice travel center/gas station with a Route 66 Diner and store. But in the back there is an amazing car museum with dozens of classic cars and 60's memorabilia.
It's great for the whole family and it's FREE! We like to donate to the museum everytime we stop and spend a little extra on goodies at the store since it's such a neat place.
Beware when using GPS! Use address and not just the "navigate" link from here!! We had to backtrack about 20 minutes when we realized we were on the road to nowhere!
Need gas, snacks, or a beverage for the road? Russell's is a great place to stop. Before you grab your grub, check out the free museum in the back. It is well worth the stop.
Great stop. Nice break after the TX panhandle. Tire problems? The tire shop is full of nice guys will help you out!
Good Mexican food and wonderful shop for the family. We love stopping here.
Cute place to stop. The museum is small but had a lot to see, definitely worth the stop for gas, food, and a little history.
Great little car museum with lots of old memorabilia. Better than some museums we have paid for! Well worth the stop.
Thank god that we did stopped New Mexico Welcome Center, a worker told me to take exit 369 to get there. She recommended that place is a worth to stop by, confused asked about the address, she told me that is an error. The right address is 1583 Frontage Road 4132, Glenrio, NM 88434.

Great stop. Gas. Clean bathrooms. Diner 50s style.
Free museum of cars and artifacts -Targeting 50s 60s. Large convenience store
Nice stopping place, museum, food. Catering more to tourists vs a true truck stop (i.e. for merchandise). Has a convenient weigh station. Only negative for us was the wait for the few gasoline stations - the car tourist took their time inside while clogging up the few pumps we could get to in our RV.
Perfect place to stop for a break & checkout the car museum & memorabilia.
