“As seen in the "Full House" theme”

Historical Landmark. One of the best-known groups of "Painted Ladies" is the row of Victorian houses at 710–720 Steiner Street, across from Alamo Square park, in San Francisco. It is sometimes known as "Postcard Row." The houses were built between 1892 and 1896 by developer Matthew Kavanaugh, who lived next door in the 1892 mansion at 722 Steiner Street. This block appears very frequently in media and mass-market photographs of the city and its tourist attractions and have appeared in an estimated 70 movies, TV programs, and ads, including in the opening credits of the television series Full House.

The perfect place to grab a patch of grass for a picnic on a warm summer day. Just try not to hum Jesse Frederick's Full House theme song as you snap a photo or two.

very nice park across from painted ladies to sit and watch the houses. If you are exploring all over the city we found that the easiest way to get to the painted ladies and other places worth seeing in the city is via the big bus tour. A good tour which gives you the ability to jump off at the painted ladies and then jump back on the bus and continue to your next stop.

Homes were beautiful but park was closed due to renovation. Unable to have a picnic or just hang and enjoy the view.

Nice stop. Park was being worked on so it wasn't open & because of the drought - grass wasn't green - but overall, nice stop & great photo op.

Stop looking for a statue of ladies, these are the lovely dollhouse looking buildings on Steiner Street.
