Really friendly corner place. They have all sorts of great fresh pastas, pre-made foods like lasagna and stuffed chicken breast, cheeses, sauces etc. Pasta Gina is an experience. A tiny shop with a huge heart, nestled in an unknown nook of San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood. Pasta Gina is Italian Food, but it isn't made by your Italian mother. It's made at the hands of the infamous Giovenina Basso, aka Gina. Loud, beautiful and unapologetic, Gina seems to be your typical Italian East Coaster whose mouth and looks carved a hole in the local business arena of a Foodie town like San Francisco, and whose flair for food kept her competetive. This is true, but unlike many other small time business owners crazy enough to offer a menu entirely made in-house from scratch, Gina has lasted. The love and meticulous care and attention put into her food over the years, along with a family pantry atmosphere has kept customers coming back- night after night after night. From traditional Italian Wedding soup she takes 3 days to make herself to the 7 varieties of lasagne, Gina's got it all.
