“the unpolished, yet decidedly wave-rich, jewel of the region”
Sandwiched between the urban sprawl of Orange County to the north, and the bomb-blasting expanse of Camp Pendleton in the south, San Clemente is the unpolished, yet decidedly wave-rich, jewel of the region.
San Clemente forms one of the most consistent, and wave-rich zones in Southern California. Furthermore, its geography means that it is exposed to both winter northwest swells and summer time souths, and is equally receptive to both. T-Street, known for its consistent surf and the talent it spawns, is the surfing nucleus of the town, and has played more than just a passing role in the history of the sport.
Fantastic place, we didn't even know about this existing until we heard from our hotel service at San Clemente about it.
Gorgeous sandy beach, full of people swimming, surfers enjoying the waves that are created by the winds coming from the northern side of the ocean.
Except from the beach shore, the pier is wonderful to walk and enjoy the views and the sunset!
Get a drink from the shops existing right next to the beach and admire the sun setting down. The colors will amaze you.
Take some warm clothing with you because it gets a bit chilly later on.
