Bigelow Park is located one mile west of Salix, Iowa on a 600-acre lake known as Brown's Lake. Originally a state park, Bigelow Park is 36 acres and has been managed by the Woodbury County Conservation Board since 1970 and includes numerous amenities. On site facilities: 40 electric campsites (fee charged),10 tent or non-electrical campsites (fee charged), shower house with flush toilets and hot water dump station, wireless internet, enclosed shelterhouse (fee charged, contact resource manager to reserve), open picnic shelter, picnic sites, playground equipment, boat ramp, fishing dock, beach area (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day—no lifeguards), recreational play areas

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on September 20, 2022Nice place. Fantastic showers. There are docks to fish from but no places to swim in the lake. Does have a decent playground.
All site are full hookups (water, electric, sewer) and cost $30. No discount if you are not using hookups. The facilities are new with individual showers. The campground has a scenic view of the lake. Unfortunately the lake level is severely reduced.
