“Kampgrounds of America”
This KOA is midway between St. Louis, Denver, the Black Hills and Texas. You'll have easy access to I-70 as well as I-135 to Wichita. Located in a shady meadow northwest of Salina, you can relax in a lawn chair, grill, or make s'mores with the family and go for a swim in the pool, play horseshoes, enjoy the Jump Pad, watch the kids go for a train ride or rent a bike. All sites are pull thru with free Wi-Fi and cable available on most. At Salina, spend more than one day to see the area's historic sites. Visit Abilene (about 25 miles East), known as the boyhood home of President Dwight Eisenhower. Check out the museum chronicling Ike's achievements at the Eisenhower Center. Visit Lindsborg, Kansas' Little Sweden (S of the campground). Stop at Rolling Hills Zoo (6 miles W on I-70). In summer (Sat. and Sun.), enjoy the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts. "Delicious Hunt Brothers Pizza and Wings can be delivered to your site (hours vary; ask in office)." Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 80 feet. Your hosts: Daryle & Terri Schwerdt.

You will see many different types of iron sculptures such as buffalo, turtles, dinosaurs, and flowers. The pool area was attractive and the pool was very refreshing after a long drive. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The kids love it here... great playground, bouncer and free kiddie train rides around the campground.
Great campground! The staff was all very friendly and the grounds were very clean and well taken care of. I found it the perfect place to rest after a long day on the road. $26 for a tent site and well worth it.
Just a one night stay, but for $28 (included KOA discount), I got cable for the night. Pretty much like any KOA but it was peaceful for the night.
There was a museum of sorts across the street which made a great place to walk with the dog.

It's Memorial Day weekend but I was lucky enough to grab the last open spot without reservation. The family that runs this KOA is very friendly. The pool is ok. You can get fresh made Hunt Bros pizza up until 7:30 pm plus they have breakfast 8-10. The wifi is good. A little close to I-70 but the noise is not bad.

We opted to pull off I-70 earlier than planned because of some crazy wind. Called and got the last site! For $40 to get full hookups I was quite pleased. We arrived just after they closed and I had an envelope on the door with receipt and explicit directions on how to get to my site. The site was level enough to stay hooked up for an early morning departure which was great. Water pressure was fantastic. Site wasn't overly pretty or spacious, kinda scraggly. But to park, get some A/C, wifi, dump my tanks and let the kids get wet in the pool after a day on the road, it was fantastic. They have a big "pillow" for the kids to jump on and a unique pool that was a circle, 3' deep on the sides and 6' deep in the middle. Pool area was old and eh...But the pool itself was cool. Overall, was only in the campground for less than 10 hours but made for a great stop through Kansas. Btw, there's a Starbucks at the gas station on the way out! There was a lot of road noise but didn't affect my sleep.

Super clean campground. Sites are about average for a KOA but there are a lot of trees here which is nice. Some concrete and some gravel. We got full hookups with cable. Cable was decent enough but we don't watch a lot of TV.
There is a nice pool and a nice dog walking area. The camp store has a good selection and offers pizza's cooked to order and delivered to your door (we did this and were pleasantly surprised with how good it tasted).
On site laundry was good but busy. They have a really nice waiting area in the laundry with some couches and things.
Wifi is so/so and cell service with AT&T, unboosted, is about 3 bars LTE.
We stayed one night but would have no complaints with staying a few more.
There is a bit of road noise during the day with the trucking facility next door but it stops in the evening so nights are reasonably quiet. We stayed on the end away from the freeway and heard no noise from it. Not sure about the sites closer.

This is a nice campground for overnight or longer stay. Near the highway, but they have noise suppression walls that helped a lot.
They make their own pizza. After a long day of travel, being able to order a pizza and have it delivered to the rig was great. Pretty good pizza, too, and not expensive.
This has a Wizard of Oz theme, lots of stuff for kids, and a nice fenced dog area.

Nothing really special about this park. Good for an overnight stay just to get some rest, but expensive for what it is. Spots are tight, the interstate traffic is loud, spaces are level, full-hookups are fine. It rained while we were there and there was some serious ponding on our site.

We have had the best time at this RV park. It is so family friendly from the jump pad, park, pool, volleyball, ball court, ping pong and fishing pond. We also enjoyed their laundry room with couches and a tv. They have a lot of tables and grills. The spaces are all pull through. The only minor complaint I have is the road noise which they can't help. The staff have all been friendly and accommodating.
