“Stare into the eye of the tiger”
Dedicated to providing an educational facility to teach about environmental conditions that are effecting the Earth’s ecosystems. We do this through creating a safe and protected environment in which all ages can enjoy the delight of discovery. We exist to gain and share knowledge that will lead to solutions that benefit all species of life. We focus on big cats as examples of the beauty and diversity we need to preserve for the survival of our planet. We provide a safe, stress free, forever home for the animals.
This place is a hidden gem! Definitely a must-do when in the Ozarks/Table Rock area. We did the feeding tour with our 2 & 4 year old sons and we all loved it! Shelly was incredibly informative (and patient with our toddlers!). A huge bonus was that they allowed our dog to walk around with us! The National Tiger Sanctuary does great work and we’re glad to be able to support their mission.
Worth the stop and worth the admission. You can feel good about spending a few bucks here. These rescued animals seem happy to be hear and once you hear their back story you will know why. The tour guide’s take the animals sad stories and rejoice in the retired life they are providing.
Took the tour. It is admirable that these people have saved these majestic animals from less than ideal conditions, although the ones on view are still in smallish enclosures. I understand that due to being declawed etc, letting them roam is not always feasible. The tour was very informative and I have learnt some big cat facts that will stay with me. It was an enjoyable hour or two from our trip and I still find it hard to understand why people think that they can keep an apex predator as a house pet. At least there are groups like this one that are willing to step up and pick up as many broken or discarded animals as they can.
Great people! The cats were nice - well, nice for tiger and lions *lol*. The feeding tour was fun and educational. We asked a zillion questions and they answered them all with smiles and warm hearts.
The cats all seem well loved and cared for.
Enjoyed every minute. Did the riding tour! Wow. They have walking tours as well. A must see!!!!
If you love animals, this stop is a must! $35 tours around the facility with guides who are extremely intelligent and informed. Amazing place dedicated to the conservation and eduacation of these big cats!
