Beautiful KOA campground in THE beautiful piney woods of East Texas. Quiet and peaceful; located on a country road outside of the small town of Rusk, Texas. We were there in January and the weather was beautiful – – sometimes it can be very cold and icy, having grown up in that area myself. This was one of the best KOA experiences we’ve had and one of the best KOA campgrounds that we have ever stayed at. The only complaint we have is that they could have made the fenced in dog area much larger than it was. There was plenty of room to expand the dog run. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in East Texas!

This is a small park, but a true gem of a find. This is the first KOA I’ve stayed at that didn’t feel cluttered by near permanent residents. And the I loved that the tent camping are was separate from the RV area. The restrooms and showers were, as expected at a KOA, exceptionally clean. Their WiFi, while not high speed, was sufficient for my needs.
The best part was that the tent camping areas woodsy setting felt more like a state park than an RV campground. I will definitely be back and may have just found my new weekend getaway go-to spot!

This is a extremely well-maintained campground with a very caring and responsive staff who keep everything immaculate! There are numerous things for the kiddos - playground, mining station, jump pad, pool, basketball, bicycles to rent. It is nestled in the Texas pines and you feel very away from the hustle bustle here. Would definitely recommend!
