Our Take

The UFO Museum in Roswell doesn’t necessarily have its tongue in its cheek, but it does have something for both flying saucer truthers and curious but casual passersby. It presents a mix of low-budget kitsch dioramas (perfect if you’ve ever wanted a selfie with an alien autopsy) as well as displays on UFO photography and other topics of interest to anyone trying to get to the bottom of the Roswell Incident.

Absolutely loved the the museum! We drove all the way to Roswell just to say we'd visited the town and the museum... I grew up in South Africa and as a kid dreamt of some day visiting Roswell!

Make sure you have at least 2hrs to spare as you will want to read every single article, report, newspaper clipping etc etc.. The fact that so many newspaper clippings etc have been preserved and are on display in the museum is incredible.

The various pieces that trace the history of UFOs and the Roswell 'crash' are mind-blowingly interesting! You will find yourself totally absorbed at the stories and scale of what went down in Roswell in 1947...

Totally worth the entrance fee and totally worth every minute you are prepared to spend here.... oh and definitely have a photo with the aliens!

This was a fun stop and worth the cost of admission. We wanted to "see" something in Roswell, and this was our chance! As a museum, this place could definitely stand for some curating and updating, but overall I would recommend a visit if you're in the area!

There's a lot of UFO related places to visit in Roswell, but this is one that feels like an absolute labor of love. The admission is only 5 bucks and there's so much to see that you almost feel like you should give them another 5 for all the work that went into making the museum so great. The staff are great too and can pretty much talk UFO's for hours, so if you've got questions make sure to ask!

Look man, I'm not going to judge what you believe but this place is definitely worth the 5 dollars admission. Lots of hilarious photo ops and an entertaining way to spend a few hours and get off the road.

This was one of the only stops we made in Roswell (just passing through to say we had been there), and it was definitely worth the $5 entrance fee. There were a couple of neat exhibits for a photo opp and lots of very interesting articles - be prepared to do a lot of reading!

This little gem is definitely a must when visiting Roswell. If you are even the slightest fan of UFOs and extraterrestrials, this museum is a good introduction. It is filled with tons of publications, articles, and pictures that recount what occurred.

Keep an eye out for a speaker and old radio in the corner upon entering the exhibit as this will offer a small sense of interaction with the items displayed. there is a red button you can press which allows you to hear a radio broadcast reporting the crash. There is also a small surprise in the center of the museum...keep an eye on the aliens!

Be sure to plan ahead and dedicate some time to look over everything as it is mostly a lot of reading. Alongside information on the Rosewell crash, there is also information on other cultures and their relationships to extraterrestrials, as well as "facts vs fiction" and pictures demonstrating people's encounters and sights of UFO and extraterrestrials. Again more reading, for this same reason this museum may not really be suited for younger kids.

Except for the gift shop, photography is allowed throughout which is another plus. Although there are many similar gift shops nearby, I feel that the one inside the museum is best for all gifts related to the Roswell crash as i did not see much or any of those items in other gift shops. So make sure to purchase those particularly at the museum.

This was a great experience and I believe that it is a must on anyones bucket list.

My son, his girlfriend and I decided at the last minute to add Roswell to our trip just to say that we had been there. I was expecting a little more from the museum and was glad that it was only a $5 entrance fee. I found the most interesting exhibits to be those of ancient reliefs depicting figures that might be interpreted as extraterrestrial in nature. It would have been nice if there was a larger section devoted to ancient sightings. Glad we got it out of our system, but that's about it.

SO cool! Even my 12 and 14 year olds were into it. So many things to see and read... really makes you wonder! Husband has been wanting to go as long as I've known him and he was not disappointed! Of course we had to snap some cheesy alien photos and we bought some souvenirs in the gift shop. Great place to go!

Not much for kids - if you have small kids go down the street to Area 51 to take cheesy photos with the aliens they will love it - for adults this is cool to read letters and report
