Has a gift shop with great things, plus ice cream, drinks and is family oriented, family discounts, military discounts, group discounts, school discounts, large parking lot, campground, offers 16 different guided tours, swings,slide, picnic tables,limkiln, we do signs,working on a non profit museum with bones, rocks, fossils, civil war items, and native American items and history.
Organ Cave has been explored by Thomas Jefferson, inhabited by Confederate soldiers during the Civil War, and the Civil Defense has declared Organ Cave a nuclear fallout shelter.
JUST as an FYI... the tour here is based on a Creationist viewpoint, so if that's not your scene, maybe skip this one.
The history of the cave was more impressive than the cave itself. Our 15 year old guide was very enthusiastic!
