The Strong collects and preserves artifacts, documents, and other items that illuminate the meaning and importance of play. The hundreds of thousands of objects in The Strong’s collections comprise the world’s most comprehensive assemblage of toys, dolls, board games, video games, other electronic games, and other historical materials related to play.
The best of any Children's Museums we have visited to date - with a huge number of themed play areas ranging from pirates to detectives to superheroes and even it's own sesame street. This incredible museum was donated by the Strong family as a place for children to embrace play. There is plenty of parking on site and a handful of fast food restaurants in the museum if you get hungry! Was definitely worth getting the annual pass since the boys spent hours upon hours playing there! For a few extra dollars definitely get access to the Butterfly sanctuary - a stunning conservatory style building filled with hundreds of species of butterfly. All up the place is a lot of fun!
Best children's museum around. Activities for all ages! Adults can take a trip down memory lane by looking at all of the toys throughout history. Plan on spending the whole day. You can also visit Manhattan Square park which is located next to the museum that offers a few climbing things, mini spray park, and in the winter an outdoor ice skating rink.
