This dam is on the Tail of the Dragon road, an amazing hairpin turn drive. The legend of the Tail of the Dragon has spread far beyond the North Carolina and Tennessee areas and even caught the eye of movie producers, celebrities, and documentary crews. The road itself and the Cheoah Dam were featured in “The Fugitive” and some of the gearhead classic “Two-Lane Blacktop” actually features much of the road at the very end of the movie.
