“cleanest & most well-maintained RV park”
The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads is a brand new rv park / campground located less than a mile from I-95, just south of the Virginia border. All sites are pull-thrus, full-hookups with 50/30 amps, 65 to 70 feet long and 35 feet wide. We offer cable and wifi at most all sites. We pride ourself on being the cleanest and most well maintained park off I-95. Pet and people friendly!

Confirmed by 5 users | Last reported on January 05, 2023Have to recommend this place because of its location, and the current operators are doing it right. Unfortunately for them they are ahead of the rest of development, but it is good for you if you are on the 95 corridor. This park is just inside NC on the NC/VA border. The park is situated away from everything to where the only noise you have is from what is generated in the park itself.
Free WiFi, and Cable on easy access pull thru sites. All of the trees are new saplings, so you have only yourself to blame when you hit something. The pads are gravel, but everything else is paved.
EVERYTHING was clean. RFP in the bathrooms to make it nice for those who use, and those who clean. Right up there with the cleanliness; just like they had to use it also. Biggest handicap stall I have ever seen in my life! If it didn't cost you $36 to see it.
In a nutshell; it is easy to get to. The entire park is neat and clean (this makes me sound old). The price is lower than if you pop into a KOA, and you get free WiFi and Cable. Not bad

Easy access from I-95, but far enough away to eliminate any road noise. Nice level long gravel pull-thru sites. Some sites have wooden gazebos for picnicking and shade. Power quality is very good, as we experienced no low voltage issues despite the heat. Bathrooms /showers are excellent. They are also air-conditioned, which is extremely welcome in hot humid weather. The swimming pool is lovely and they also have a large shaded shelter where folks can hang out, play cornhole or board games, or even a casual game of pool.
Less than ten minutes away there’s plenty of shopping for groceries and drug-store items, and several restaurants as well.
Rain did accumulate briefly around our power post during an extremely heavy downpour, so keep any power equipment such as surge protectors well off the ground.
We had great LTE signals for both ATT and Verizon.

Pulled in on Thanksgiving and was greeted by friendly staff. Park was quite this time of year and it was a good place to stop for the night before continuing on to FL. Not sure of what all is around this location but it’s easy on and off the freeway. Sites are gravel, but level and plenty long for our 40’ 5th wheel.

Stayed during a northbound trip from FL
During Covid 19, so hot tub not available. Nice big sites many w cable, wi fi poor.
Mostly pull thrus, 50 amp full hookups, nice grassy space between sites. The large gazebos would prevent an awning opening, but an excellent gathering spot if camping next to friends. There were some long term stays, but seemed to be for utility workers in area. Entrance road is RV Resort Dr. Deservidly so.

Excellent location, and easy access, just off Interstate 95. The signage, coming into the park is very well done. This mid-sized park is set up for Rallies, with a separate club room, full kitchen, and several large gazebos for outdoor gatherings. They also have tiny cabins for rent. The pool and play areas are immaculate. There are few sites with shade, but the park is surround with old pine groves, giving it a woodsy feel. The owners & staff were amazing! We had intended to stay a week but due to unforeseen issues with our rig, we had to extend our stay a couple times while waiting for parts. The staff was unbelievably gracious in helping us thru those issues. Big shout out to the crew!
The town of Roanoke Rapids is five minutes away with plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. Ralph's BBQ has some of the BEST fried catfish I've ever eaten! The Roanoke River is very near and offers amply opportunities for water activities. The nearest Costco is 1.25 hours away in Raleigh, NC. The VA state line is about five miles north of this park.

The Good:
Everyone is super nice
The bathrooms, showers and general park is really clean
The sites are super flat and level and most are pull-thru.
The Bad:
Not a lot of privacy between sites
Not a lot to do nearby
Antennas pick up only PBS
Wifi did not work when I was here
Fires are only allowed in the "B" sites
Note that apparently D and P sites have cable, but O sites do not
If the wifi worked I would have given it 4 stars.
It's a great "overnight" place to stay, but not great for longer than that.

Pros: Very friendly staff. The Park is really clean. Park is very quiet. There are not lot of lights so it is really dark at night so you can watch the stars. Easy in and out off I-95. Sites are very level and easy to get into. New picnic tables at each site. Pool and hot tub. Playground and dog park. Extra wide roads which is very helpful
Cons: Many of the concrete pads are cracked and falling apart. There are quite a few stationary sites. The sites landscaping is not kept up so there is tall grass/ weeds on those sites. Gravel pads in the overnight sties need to be about one foot wider so as you don’t have to walk in the grass to get to your hookups. The price for the sites are the same price – some sites get cable, concrete and large grass areas while some sites get no cable, gravel and little grass area.
