“The Best Homemade Ice Cream in Richmond, Virginia”

At 76-years-young, Beverly Mazursky is still the proud owner of Bev's Homemade Ice Cream, a legacy she built from the ground up. Starting with only her recipe and a dream, what you see today at our shop in Carytown is the culmination of 25 years of hard work. Going back to school at 49 is no cake walk (especially when you have to live in the freshman dorms). But Bev graduated from the Culinary Institute of America with flying colors in 1988. Always an entrepreneur and businesswoman, she opened up the first Bev's Homemade Ice Cream in Lenox, Massachusetts in 1989. Bev set her sights on Richmond upon visiting her son in 1997. After dinner, they realized the city was sadly lacking in homemade ice cream. So Bev filled the void. And today, our Carytown location is the one and only Bev's in the world! So stop by today.
