Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on June 19, 2022We stayed here to visit Bend and Sisters - the rates are much more reasonable than the other parks in the area.
Very clean and well maintained. Wide interior roads, concrete and gravel sites with grass spots throughout. Walk to the fairgrounds for events - still nice and quiet day and night.
All utilities worked well. WiFi was not working during our stay. Wide open skies for good satellite connection.
We enjoyed our stay here.

This price reflects a Good Sam discount. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We got the last back-in, no pull-throughs available
Some guests are traveling with farm animals to show for FFA or 4-H. We were there during the Dairy/Goat show. We were parked next to a goat carrier with lots of hay and goat poo around. Thankfully no flies.
Showers were old school meaning you get a private shower but then dress in the main room. Very busy!
Quiet all around. No WiFi

Google Maps takes you through the Expo Center. This entrance to the park is closed. You must enter on SW 19th Street. Clean park, no shade. Can see the mountains in the distance. Lots of hiking surrounding Redmond. First night was smoky from forrest fires. Wind blew the smoke out the second day.

Unfortunately we were here for the recent (ongoing) forest fires so have spent the last six days inside our rig. Before the smoke came to town we did get out to see Smith Rock SP and it is worth the drive if you like scenery and hiking. The town of Redmond has quite a few good restaurants, you just need to get off 97 and into town. The RV park is paved, with concrete pads and gravel (not grass) between sites. The sites have a picnic table and a bbq stand (ours was not cleaned out and we did not use it). There is grass next door, at the fair grounds, for walking your dog or playing. It's a good location, the facilities are clean and well maintained, but the staff could be friendlier. When we check in, we asked about the fires in the area and they didn't seem informed or concerned. Signs in the office window says "No Refunds". We are next to an airport, but flight were cancelled because ground crews could not work outside, due to the smoke. We were able to get more local, free TV here than other places.

Google directions are wrong, use 19th Court. We’re in a truck camper so having the bathrooms only available 9-4pm meant we had to break camp and head out as soon as the coffee was made. It was clean and simple, but really best for an RV where you plan to have everything inside.

Location adjoins the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Southeast Redmond which is really convenient. We were surprised at how quiet it was. Only a couple of trains roll nearby and the Redmond airport traffic was minimal. No events were scheduled in the expo center except a mass vaccination event.
Sites are weird lengths, and in a really compressed footprint. so I recommend driving through it once if you are able to select one that works. Our sewer port was out front (our trailer uses a port in the rear). Very little space to park our tow vehicle, No shade. Advertised price for a 30 amp site is $38, but add the reservation fee and room tax for an additional $7 a night. 50 amp sites are about $10 more. That being said, this is a good choice for an overnight or two if you need hookups and convention to access to central Oregon.

Nice park, very easy to back into the spot with our 30’ class C. Spots were pretty level. WiFi was advertised online when booking, and when we pulled up, there was a sign with no wifi available. Restrooms were closed as well. Mostly quiet, but when we stayed they were doing road construction right behind our spot.

There is an event center next door to the RV Park. On a Friday night the RV Park is subject to a mind irritating, sleep depriving, late into the night, past 11PM, drum beating music oozing from the event center.
The airport that is very close helps to add the sounds of planes to the mix.
Tight concrete and gravel spaces. Location to highway 97 is good but not much else.

Located on the county fairgrounds in Redmond, Oregon. Park was well kept, but sites were very close together. Our site was a back-in, with parking next to the trailer for our pickup. Weather was clear, high temperatures just below 90, lows around 50. Once the sun started to set, the temperatures dropped quickly. Some traffic, train, and airport noise, but not too bad. Hwy 97 through town had extremely heavy traffic in the afternoons.

The Expo Center offers a very practical camping experience- various sizes of pull-through and back-in sites, all relatively level, paved, and FHU in a parking lot type setting. This isn’t what most people look forward to when they think of camping, with nearly no privacy or greenery, but it’s a good location for getting around to see the surrounding area. There is a nearby train, Redmond airport up the road, and they were doing construction and road work next door during our stay, nothing terrible but expect some noise consistently. We tried to sleep with the windows open once, and it was intolerable and instead used our sound machine every night. Generally the park often felt very busy with RVs and vehicles always coming or going, and the Expo Center events did create more of that (the dog show was probably the most chaotic week during our stay).
Our utilities worked fine, and I appreciated that there was plenty of space to walk our dog. Bathroom and laundry are available, but we didn’t use either. There is no WiFi or cable, but our Verizon service worked well without the booster. This was one of the few times in our 3+ years of travel that we needed early check-in, and they weren’t terribly accommodating.
We stayed here because it’s the crazy-busy tourist season for Bend (which is 20-30 minutes away depending where you are headed), and for this trip the location was more important than the CG scenery/feel. Bottom line: this CG is pricey at $38 (30 amp)/ $42 (50 amp) plus a 10.5% tax for what it is, but we would stay here again.
