Our Take

This is an iconic, classic place, but it really is in the middle of nowhere. You’ll spend a full day driving through deserty nothingness to visit, so you definitely have to really want to experience it to visit. It is pretty cool to make the desolate drive to this minuscule town in the middle of nowhere. Rachel is like the town from “Tremors.” It's super small and rural. The Little Ale’e’inn is just as much the town watering hole as it is a tourist attraction, so you’ll see plenty of locals here. Expect to find food and kitschy alien trinkets for sale, and if you want to chat about Area 51 or UFOs, the waitstaff are more than happy to indulge.

“your gateway to Area 51”

Filming Location from the movie Paul - Little A'Le'Inn is where Graeme and Clive stop for a meal at the beginning of the film. Also a filming location for The X-Files. Pat, Bill & Connie, along with the staff at the Little A'Le'Inn would like to welcome you and we hope to see each and everyone of you soon. There are many things to do here and plenty of trouble to get into if you do not read the warning signs posted near Area 51. We have maps, all sorts of alien goodies to sell, and other items so we can help you find your way around this vast oasis.

Very strange place. Feels like the attention since "Paul" has made them care a bit less. Worth a stop for a photo but don't go out of your way.

Stopped in for breakfast after hiking Tikaboo peak the night before and camping out nearby. Very nice lady behind the bar once she opened up a bit. A classic stop on this lonely stretch of highway and a must for anyone into UFO's or other weird stuff. This whole area sort of loses it's weird image on visiting though, theres really not very much strange stuff happening, any stories are referencing distant and infrequent events. The place itself is divey and fun, full of sort of crappy pictures of UFO's that look like they havent been added to in a long time, and a pretty cheesy selection of gifts.

Loved this place. The accommodations were VERY clean and comfortable. I have already booked a stay next year. The staff was super helpful and polite. I had a "Saucer" burger and it was awesome. I can't wait to stay there again. Thanks Little A'Le'Inn!

An absolute must-stop for anyone with a love for X-Files or UFOlogy in general. Lots of really fun, unique gifts, and there's always a load of regulars sitting in the cafe ready to share their stories of strange craft. This place is great, and if you need a room it's cheap - like less than $50 cheap.

It's more important than ever to support places like in in Rachel, Nevada. For those who don't know, neo-Nazis have moved into the town and are attempting to systematically turn it into a compound.

I'm not really a gift shop person but they have an awesome one full of collectables that you'll actually want to buy. I suggest the house blend coffee as well, it's pretty delicious. And their alien mugs are the best, I've had mine for years and every time I bust it out I get complements. The entire place is fun and friendly and worth a stop.

If you get hungry or need a place to sleep for the night, pull over at the Little A’le’inn, a bar, restaurant and motel. Here you can order the “Alien burger” and learn about Area 51. This place was featured in the movie "Paul" and in an "X-Files" episode on Area 51.

Went here for the Alienstock 2019 event. Connie West is a fantastic host and human being, the entire event went smoothly and we had a great time. Ufologists and passive travelers both will enjoy a stop closer than 30 minutes away from Area 51.

Hesitant but stopped for lunch and was very impressed with the great lunch and clean facilities and nice gal that worked the counter that made the best homemade Strawberry/Rhubarb pie. Will stop again, we like this lonely highway. Just watch out for the cows.
