“a haven for the bizarre”
The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium in Portland, Oregon has a 10-foot tall bigfoot, an alien autopsy set where YOU can be the victim the aliens are operating on, an interactive zombie brain, and Bugeaters Delight Sundaes, sprinkled with dried mealworms and scorpions on top. If you eat the whole thing, you can become a member of the Insectarian Club! We also feature other bizarre exhibits and strange artwork in our gallery. FREE admission!
Not for young kids, I brought my two young children for some bug ice cream and to see some aliens etc. The ice cream was no longer available, although they had big bug cookies. Most of the things that I brought my kids to see, turned out to involve adult themes as there was a sign with a warning. I purchased a couple of fun items, but before I left I couldn't help but notice the smell of marijuana smoke inside the store.
Small freaky museum. Well worth the 5 bucks.
A once in a life time experience for those who enjoy the odd and offbeat. I love it and will definitely refine the next time in in town.
Meh it was ok.
You should go! I ate the bug Sunday! ;)
