“fresh artisanal Italian food made for over a decade!”
Welcome to Ribollita! For over a decade, Ribollita has served artisanal Italian food, made with fresh, local ingredients, in an intimate setting. Nestled between Portland's historic Old Port and East End districts, in the heart of what was once a largely Italian neighborhood, Ribollita fuses traditional Italian cuisine with the culinary innovation and unpretentious atmosphere for which Portland is famous. The Food Chef/Owner Kevin Quiet draws on the abundant offerings of the local farming and fishing industries to create a menu that interprets traditional Italian fare through the lens of Maine's unique culinary landscape. Our dishes showcase both the freshness of the ingredients as well as the impeccable care taken in their preparation and presentation. Our menu features a variety of fresh local seafood, our own handmade pastas, as well as Italian favorites like veal osso bucco, and our namesake dish, ribollita. The Wine Ribollita features an exclusively Italian wine list, with a tremendous range of offerings, from the simplest Orvietos to complex Brunellos and Barolos. This diverse selection is complemented by a friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always happy to assist you in pairing an exceptional wine with your meal. Our Following A small, trattoria-inspired restaurant, with a simple décor and open kitchen, Ribollita has long inspired a very loyal following of both local regulars and returning friends from away. Reservations are strongly recommended, as our twelve tables are quickly filled. Ribollita is located at 41 Middle Street in Portland, opening at 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

It's not a bougie, trendy restaurant which is fine with me--Portland has too many of those. It's an older clientele which is also fine with me. I just expected more authentic Italian food. It's... Read more
