“family fun amusement park”
This family owned and operated business has been entertaining families for over 48 years. Our main goal is to ensure that everyone who stops in to visit our park has a lot of fun and departs with a smile. Our go kart track is one of the largest in the state. An Indy type asphalt track 850 x 30 feet of banked hills, curves, and a long straight-away for gaining speed in your race. We furnish karts for ages 3 and up. The little ones drive on the same track as the big karts but at a separate time. We have rookie karts for ages 9 to 13, single seat karts for 14 and up, and double seat karts for an adult and small child. Family Go Karts was founded by Jack & Ethel Upthegrove in 1963. At that time they had 6 go karts with a frame style, and an oval track. I, their daughter, Shirley, began managing the track in 1977 and as I sat there every night I thought there was a lot of room on the property to add more to the park. I purchased the property in 1989 with the oval track and 6 go karts and drove all over the state checking out go carts & tracks. I then designed my own track, & found someone to build it for me. You know that line, "If you build it, they will come?" They did come! I now have 3 double seat karts, 4 adult karts, 4 rookie karts, and 4 Jr. karts with Honda engines. I have customers remark that they came to the park as a child and now they are bringing their children and their grandchildren. Two years later I began adding more rides and entertainment to the park. We now have an Aero Trim, Trampoline Thing, Bump -n- Spin Cars, Hoops USA (basketball), Paintball Targets and a free Kiddie Land. All 4 of my children have been involved in managing or working at the park throughout the years. They have since moved out of state, I've retired, or would like to fully retire and with a lot of thought I decided to sell the business. I truely thank my children, all of my customers and the employees who have made the park what it is today. Without them, the park could never have survived. Come join the fun.
I purchased a ATV for my grandson from this company and received the worst customer service ever. The product was supposed to be at Saia freight on Friday. Tracked the freight, call Saia and was... Read more
