“Outdoors & Recreation in Point Marion, PA”
Friendship Hill was the country estate of Albert Gallatin, Secretary of the Treasury under Presidents Jefferson & Madison. Gallatin funded the Louisiana Purchase, the Lewis & Clark Expedition, and the National Road. To learn more, visit www.nps.gov/frhi.
The grounds and home are very beautiful but there was less information about Gallatin than we expected. Placards are few and not very detailed, especially in the house. There is a video but it wasn't working when we were there, that might have helped.
