The laundry facility was clean and reasonably priced. All parking slots are level gravel pull-through sites. The park Wifi was strong, and secure.
The park is located within 1/2 mile from the Interstate, so access is great. Be sure to ask about veteran friendly rates.

We were just passing through and this was a great stop for the night, easy in and out. Rate is Passport America, and I was thankful they did not charge extra for kids. The night we were there they had a terrible thunderstorm and sirens started going off like for a tornado warning. We're not used to that kind of stuff so it was a little scary. We saw lights flashing at the check in building where the laundry room is so we ran there for shelter and waited out the storm. Thankfully everything was fine and we survived, but it definitely had us a little scared there for awhile. Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile all worked great.

We chose this park based on previous reviews. Many things have changed. The price is now $30.00 for all sites even though only some are full service. It is still a self check in. Just as I dropped my pay envelope into the slot the owner arrived. I'm guessing to make sure I was paying?? I asked her if it was okay to clean the bugs off of the windshield. Her reply was "If you are going to use lots of water you must pay extra". I assured her that not only was I not going to use a lot of water, I was not even going to hook the water to my rig while I stayed. I always travel with about 1/2 tank incase park water is off or bad tasting. She shrugged and walked away. We chose site 13. It was one of a very few that had a table. It's a good thing I did not need to attach the water 'cause the spigot is so far to the rear I would have needed an extra hose. The grass was un-cut and there was a lot of garbage left on may of the sites. I think because the season is near the end there is a lot of neglect. Wifi was almost non existent. This park is way overpriced for it's location, service and amenities. We will not be back. We camped at Hill's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed at Hills RV park while traveling east from the Black Hills. We found long pull through gravel sites, a choice of water/electric or FHU, all with a shade tree and grassy area. Our site had 50 amp service, I did not check into any other sites but assume the same. Passport America rate was only $20 for w/e. Easy access from I90 but we didn't notice any noise to speak of. The park was clean and well kept. Rooftop antenna picked up several digital channels and we were able to stream over our Verizon hotspot. No problems at all, we will stay here anytime we come through.

A no frills campground right off 90. Easy checkin in the laundry building. Passport America gave me full-hookups for $25/night. I could pick my spot, and there were lots, so I chose one with a little shade. Long pull-throughs make it easy for me. The sites were packed gravel and level. There were only a few others in the park so it was mostly quiet. Road noise was noticeable but no problems with a nice noise maker for sleeping. Not every site has sewer, mostly it's the first 6 or so sites in each row, be sure to check while driving through. Sewer is $5 more on PA.
The park looked clean and well maintained. I never saw the staff except when I first checked in, although I'm sure they're around.
There's really not much in the Plankinton area in the way of commerce but you're right off 90.

Stayed here one night. Neat and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. All spots gave water and electric but not all have sewer. Pull thru spots. They do Passport America so it was a good inexpensive night.

This simple campground is a great place to stop for a night, especially if you have Passport America. We paid $25 for full hookups. It had been a long day, it was hot and a thunderstorm was rolling in. This made the perfect place to stop. It was right off the highway and gave us 50 amps to crank up the A/C.
A few things to know...Passport America rates are cash only, but there no blackout dates! The campground shares a driveway entrance with the Dollar General, so you turn before the campground sign. The first four sites in every row are full hookups, along with a smattering in the last row. There is a map inside the campground office showing which sites are full hookup. If you don't need sewer, the sites are only $20 Passport America.
Verizon and ATT were good. I was able to pick up all the major over-the-air TV stations out of Sioux Falls. The sites are gravel surround by grass and trees in between. There's not much more to say. It's basic and does the job.
We would definitely stay here again with the Passport America rate.
