Cottage Inn by the Sea

Our hotel experience was also just as phenomenal as in Cambria, but in its own unique way. We stayed in Cottage Inn, Pismo Beach, another spot with a spectacular view of the ocean. Located right off the highway, Cottage Inn’s proximity to high-end restaurants (one we will talk about later), grocery stores, and other prime spots make it a convenient place to stay. When first figuring out the logistics of our room, we were offered fresh cookies from the front desk. After our warm welcome, we got situated.

Our room was spacious and modern, but the mirror in the bathroom was my personal favorite. A bright white light that seemed like it was made just for great selfies bordered it, creating a well-lighted photo-op. Before heading out to eat, we explored the outside pool and fireplace area. The hotel itself was situated on the coast and the firepits were right near the edge of the land, before meeting the cliff. The views of the ocean were remarkable and watching the sunset brought upon a sense of ease and calm that’s almost indescribable. After heading out to eat and finishing up our dinner, we came straight back to those fire pits. We cozied up next to the warm flames, worked on tasks, and took some night shots of the stars.

The next morning we were greeted with a complimentary breakfast bar, complete with fresh pastries, yogurt, and more. The staff manning the stations went above and beyond with their costumer service, making sure each guest was satisfied with everything they needed. There was even a book author present, selling autographed copies of his work. This hotel’s location and the diversity of their amenities made it a perfect spot for those looking for an escape from the mundane views and routines of the everyday. Chill by the fireplace, enjoy the fresh snacks, and let the vacation come to you.
