My family has been going here for years and we absolutely love it. The best times to go are for either the 4th of July fireworks display or for the Christmas in Lights. They've recently started doing Movies on the Beach again, where they put up a huge blow-up screen on Robin Lake's beach. It's a wonderful family trip, and would be perfect for a romantic weekend getaway as well.

You don’t have to travel hours from Atlanta to enjoy the beach. The Callaway Gardens Beach is less than two hours south of Atlanta, and has tons of activities for the very youngest traveler, to the older folks in your party. In addition, there is lots to do both in and out of the sun.

We recently went with the grandparents to Callaway Gardens and experienced the quintessential multigenerational weekend getaway. Callaway was the perfect location for our family.

The lodging options, the itinerary, the golf carts...it was great.
