“an acre of fire history exhibits”
The Hall of Flame Fire Museum and the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, located in Phoenix, Arizona, has almost an acre of fire history exhibits, with over 90 fully restored pieces of fire apparatus on display, dating from 1725 to 1969. Most of the exhibits are American, but we also have pieces from England, France, Austria, Germany, and Japan.
We stopped here on our way to the airport to head home, great stop if you heading out of town at the end of a vacation. We stopped here with our 3 kids and they had a great time! The display of firetrucks was endless and they had a interactive kids area to play which our kids loved. They even had a real firetruck for the kids to pretend to drive and sit in. Overall great value and family fun. We spent about 90 minutes here so not a huge time commitment either. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Great place to learn about the history of fire trucks. So many trucks on display and each with their own story. Even if you're not that into fire fighter stuff I recommend a visit. It's amazing the way technology has advanced in this field.
