“a lovely home!”
This unique property was featured extensively throughout the climactic finale of The Silence of the Lambs starring the Academy Award winning Best Actress, Jodie Foster (playing FBI Agent Clarice Starling) and featuring the deeply disturbing portrayal of serial killer “Buffalo Bill” played by veteran actor Ted Levine. The home still features many attributes that have remained unchanged since filming took place 30 years ago! Located in Perryopolis, PA (Fayette County) 30 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA. Buffalo Bill’s House is within walking distance to Hazelbaker’s Bottom Yough Outfitters, and the Great Alleghany Passage walking & biking trails – mile marker 102. In addition, we are just a short drive to Ohiopyle State Park, Laurel Highlands & Frank Lloyd’s Fallingwater.
It's for sale (right now, at least) and it's been updated since it was used in the movie, but remember that this will be private property eventually so don't be a jerk when visiting!
Buffalo Bill's House - the actual house used in the 5-time Academy Award winning "The SIlence of the Lambs" is now a cinematic destination & vacation rental. They also offer limited guided tours throughout the year. Tickets need to be purchased in advance on their website at BUFFALOBILLSHOUSE.COM
