“featuring the grand canyon skywalk!”
Travel to the Grand Canyon—one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World—and let Grand Canyon West, located on the Hualapai Indian Reservation, provide you with an experience like no other. See the Canyon from every perspective with our variety of vacation experiences. “Walk the sky” 4,000 feet above the Canyon floor on our Skywalk, or tour the West Rim on a helicopter ride. Take a whitewater rafting trip down the Colorado River, hike scenic trails, enjoy our rustic lodging, and learn about authentic Native American culture. All this, and more awaits you at Grand Canyon West, which is just two hours from Las Vegas and close to Phoenix. When visiting please keep in mind that Grand Canyon West does NOT participate in Daylight Savings Time. Be sure to leave early enough to arrive on time for any scheduled tours.
Downside is you can't drive to the skywalk, fees start at $70, you are expected to get the bus, no cameras, phone or personal belongings allowed. Price would have been reasonable if photos were allowed. We turned around, and spent the money on other canyon activities
This is not part of the Grand Canyon NP. This is private land, and they have tight control on it. You are able to drive as far as a parking lot, then there are guards and gates that require you to buy a $100 ticket to get past. We turned right around and wasted several hours of our day, because I didn't know better. If you want to zip line and do the walkway, and pay exorbitantly for it, then this is the place, but if that's not what you're looking for, beware!
Cool, except you can't drive up to the rim. You are forced to take the bus (and pay for it). Only three spots you can go by. I enjoyed the south rim much better. I can't wait to go to the North Rim.
Two words....Simply Amazing!!!
