“the perfect place to play on the water”
Located in the scenic Ohio Valley / Geauga Lakes region (NE Ohio) Kool Lakes is definitely a long way from my Antarctic home, but it has become my favorite vacation destination when I need to get away from the snow and ice. This peaceful Ohio campground is set in the woods and meadows around three spring-fed lakes, so I'm never far from a place to get wet and "keep kool." The pristine 1.5 acre swimmin' lake is the perfect place to play on the water and catch a few rays on the sandy beach. The campground's facilities, including the covered pavilion and sand volleyball courts, are close to all the water fun. Anglers will want to bring their tackle to do a little fishing on the well-stocked 17.5 acre lake. Fish from the dock, launch your boat, or rent a rowboat, canoe or paddleboat and start reelin' 'em in.

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on September 21, 2022We like this place a lot! Good internet (through AT&T) and fun lakes. People are nice, sites are a little uneven but grassy and clean. Playgrounds are beautiful and new. Showers are huge. 30 amp site with water but no sewer was $300 for two weeks.
The only small issue is that with our big rig, backing up into the site was TOUGH and would have been tougher if the campground was at full capacity. But at 41 feet we expect some of that.

This is your basic campground without the foo foo. Sites are mostly gravel for the full hookup with some water/electric having grass. The campground has mostly seasonal campers like most northern campgrounds which is why they survive. There is a swimming lake and several lakes for fishing. The free wifi did not work for us. so don't count on using it. For the price we were satisfied with the experience and was convenient for visiting the Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park just down the road. Below is the link to my video I did showing and reviewing the park.

Excellent price, pretty good cabin...sort of weird campground. It was mostly a large mobile home park with a campground tacked on the front. The lakes were sort of gunky looking. Probably won’t stay again.
