Homesteaded in 1827, the Beckwith Mansion was originally the home to George and Ruth Beckwith - a local merchant. Over the years it has been owned by the Beckwiths, Piney Sexton, the Hubbards (of Garlock Corporation), the Wheelers and now the Waltons.
