“Lush landscaping & quiet surroundings”
Our Lakeside RV Resort is honored to be one of less than 20 RV Resorts in North America to have earned both Trailer Life and Woodall's Campground Directories highest ratings. With our lush landscaping, incredibly quiet surroundings, old west artifacts including buggies, wagon wheels and even historic iron pot stoves you will feel the Old West charm during your stay.

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on February 24, 2022We stayed here 3 years ago and found it to be a nice spot so decided to stay again, BUT it seems they have changed hands and the place has gone down hill. At the Passport America price of $27 we paid I feel is still too much and I certainly would be upset if we would have paid the full price without Passport America. However the roads are easy to navigate for any sized rig, some sites might not allow for satellite TV use because of tree's but the good thing is "they have tree's", fuel and small store next to the park, quiet at night, short distance outside of town, nice walking trail around the man made lake, water and septic hookups are right next to each other which probably isn't a real big deal but is always odd to me. We have stayed at another park in the area that will get our business from now on when passing through.

Lakeside RV Park exceeded our expectations, but only because we've learned to set them pretty low and hope for the best. The park was clean and well kept; the staff was friendly and helpful; the sites were well maintained and fully functioning.
The restrooms and showers all appeared clean and safe. The trees throughout the park were meticulously trimmed to allow easy height access to any site. The swimming pool was ok... a little cloudy from all the suncreened swimmers. The lake is pretty to look at, but there's no swimming allowed - not that you'd want to. There are paddle boats and canoes free to use at the beach.
Gripes: the site's picnic tables are situated less than 10' from your neighbor's sewer connection - there's no screen or barrier of any kind, and the picnic tables are made out of cement so they can't be moved. If your neighbor has old equipment or didn't set it up right, you're gonna want to eat inside most of the time.

We are full time RVer for the last 4 yrs. Move every 2 to 4 weeks. We have been to the east coast to west coast to Alaska to the Keys. This is the first place that (WOULD NOT ALLOW) delivery by UPS or FEDX. Nearest pickup location is Las Vegas. Now I can (pay) $$$ to the FEDX store to except packages for me above the shipping charges. Rules and regulations are getting out of hand. Would not have made reservations for this place if I had known this rule .

Awesome campgrounds with a lake. You can paddle boat, go into the small casino on site and other activities. The park is full of friendly ducks that come right up to your site. There are other small casinos all over town. I actually got a pretty hefty jackpot at one. There is a cafe in the on site casino with a buffet at posted times. Love it!

The original designers of this park were mostly genius-level & about the only thing that the original owners (Terrible's company) never enacted was supplying cable TV service to the guests. To this day there is still no cable service (bummer) but our OTA antenna picked up a lot of HD channels (ABC, Fox, etc etc). Is it perfect, no, but I've yet to find a park that is. All-in-all the current owners & management are doing a good job with the place IMO.
Pluses: Level concrete pads, many with now mature shade trees; Nice pool if you can stand a lot of kids being in/around the pool with you; Fantastic walking loop around the lake / park itself; Restaurant/gas station store right there (if you can stand biblical level cigarette smoke); Security was visible & was not allowing the place to get out of hand (years ago it was out of control a lot during summer nights); Had a band playing a free concert next to the lake 1 night of the holiday weekend from 6-9pm & that was great.... they even enacted a security checkpoint at the park entrance to keep non-guests from coming in, much appreciated.
Negatives (mostly nit-picking level stuff): Some full-time/permanent 'residents'.... detracts a little from the overall vibe / ascetics & generally speaking perm residents are not particularly friendly/social; Sorely need a kiddie pool area & sorely need more shade around the existing pool; Office hours are banker's hours (kind of unsat closing at 5pm every day); the grass isn't pristine in many spots around the park; some of the mature hardwood trees around the park are dying which is a shame however, plenty of mature trees are about.
Minor Issues we had this stay: Staff screwed up our reservation in that they changed our reserved site to one that we found we hated (57 due to no shade & being next to a perm resident). Worst part was the one we were told we had at time of rez was never occupied the entire weekend. We did end eventually request & end up being allowed to change to another site, but the hassle was an unnecessary event due to the park not being sold out during our stay. LOTS of ants around the site, we could've used some insect spray but unfortunately the store there doesn't carry that kind of stuff.

At the Quartzsite Rv show, this campground were offering 14 nights full Hook up for $140 plus taxes, absolute bargain.
Absolutely stunning park, first class clean washrooms, good reasonably priced cafe, but two very rude and unfriendly security staff managed to make it feel like a prison camp rather than guests at an RV Park. We wouldn't have minded if we had actually broken the sites not unreasonable rules, but they see what they want.

We chose to go to Lakeside on our first trip with our travel trailer. We instantly met great people upon our arrival. Site 4 is super close to the sand beach and the pool. The hot tub was closed due to Covid. We brought our daughters bikes and they had a great time riding their bike, playing at the beach, and the pool. We would definitely stay there again

A very nice park with a casino on site. Price would have been over $60 but with Passport America it was much less. There is a nice little lake with water fowl and catch and release fishing . It has a walking path around it. Also, there is a swimming pool and hot tub.Quiet and friendly. Paved pads with some being pull through and some back-in. Internet seems to be well above average for RV parks.
By way of an update...it's now April 2, 2021. Stopped here on our way back north. It must be spring break because the park is full, full, full !! New info is, as the park gets full they raise the rates (a lot). Two nights with Passport America 50% discount it ended up costing $113 for two nights. It was in the neighborhood of $85/night w/o PA. They tell me that you can book online and if you do so when the lower rates are in effect you will get the lower rate.
Cheers.

We needed a place to rest for a longer drive, and this was a perfect last minute spot. Level spots, water and electric hookups were great. We don’t really like RV parks, but this was nice and clean. Our spot didn’t have anyone by us and overlooked a little pond. I would stay again if I need a stopover.

After boondocking for a week this place felt like Disneyland. Kind of surreal! Very clean place with level sites. The lake is full of birds of all kinds which were the only noisy thing. Baths are dated but nice and clean. 5G WiFi was good enough to stream movies and work on websites.
