“a 10-acre camping park with 2,300 feet of ocean shoreline”

Run with your kite, or your dog, on a flat sandy beach. Inhale the salt sea air and listen to the Pacific Ocean as it crashes on the shore by your side. Help the kids build sand castles, go fishing or dig for clams in season.  This small camping park north of Aberdeen features waterfront tent sites, yurts and RV hookups, so the fun doesn’t have to end at sundown. Make a small fire on the beach (be sure it’s more than 100 feet from vegetation), roast up some s’mores and watch the evening sky turn blue and then black with stars - or gray with storm clouds.   You will remember Pacific Beach as an invigorating day or weekend stop or special camp stay on a  road trip to the coast.

A relatively bare oceanfront RV park with great views that offers around 60 campsites with half of them near the waterfront and a couple can accommodate big rigs up to 60 feet.

Location is great as it's close to both the beach and to the town as well but amenities can be a bit lacking since utilities on all sites is electricity only.

This park is all about the beach and is very popular with families. The sites are very close together and site 13, where we stayed, backed up to the day use area parking so there was a lot of vehicle traffic. Site boundaries were not respected, we continually had people walking and kids biking through our campsite, right past our back window. The sites were paved and level. Our site had electric and water was available at the dump station. The camp host kept the bathrooms and token-operated showers clean. The beach was beautiful and close by, but at low tide the water was a long way out.
There was a strange check-in process when an attendant wasn't on duty, you had to call the office on the yellow phone at the check-in board to register. Site prices varied and they had a color and shape coded listing at the board, but no campground map to pull it all together. We had a reservation and had to pay an $8 reservation fee and a $5 out-of-state fee in addition to the $40/day camping fee. If we were to stay here again, we'd get a site at the other end of the camping area. We experienced a huge storm with high winds while we were at the campground and we were glad that there were no trees around us to blow down.
We stayed here to access Olympic National Park and we were able to see the Quinalt Rain Forest and some of the huge trees in the area. There was really not much else around, we had no ATT cell service and no TV. The little village of Pacific Beach had a couple of general stores and a few cafes, but not much else. For us, this park would be okay for an overnight, but there wasn't enough to do to keep us busy for more than that.

Pacific Beach State Park, Grays Harbor County. Where is the line between camping and beach party? Well, here it is. This is the only Washington State Park with camping right on the beach. The explosion of color from the kites and windsocks seem to pay homage to this beautiful stretch of beach, where beach fires are not only allowed, but encouraged. But it's cramped, frenetic, and crazy, so you'll get to know your neighbors well. I'd reserve this one for bicyclers or those who like a little more party in their camping. The park was spotless and the neighbors quiet. Rolling in without a reservation requires a goofy process of walking to a self-service registration area where one finds a list of unreserved spaces for the day. This list seems to be static throughout the day so it requires the transient camper to drive or walk around checking each site to see if it remains available, then another walk to pay the fee for a space.

Anyway, the park, while small, is very nice. I wish I had the time to stay longer.

Fabulous staff & hosts. Yes system can be funky to get a site. Suggest just getting there during staff hours and dealing with a professional. 9:30-11; 1:30-3:30 - ish. Staff shortages sometimes lead to the "ish". We walked in, no reservations, had to stay longer than planned to access pet care, but I was there at 9:20am & with daily cancellations they made it happen. Switched sites 5 times in 9 days, we didnt mind or care, we were at the beach the week before the 4th of July, could see the water from our camper & we met more than a dozen friendly regulars who showed us the ropes! Learned 4 string Rev kite flying, enjoyed beach fires (none allowed at campsite due to proximity to town) and made good friends. If privacy and no kids having fun on bikes and with kites is your gig, this is not your place. Dont miss Scott's kite store with the best & cheapest coffee in town, the art gallery, the Green Lantern Pub down the road 8 miles (Bingo on Wed to benefit hungry kids or pet shelter), and the VFD hosts a wonderful pancake breakfast by donation the Saturday of each summer 3 day holiday weekend. Enjoy!

You're camping right on the beach, sites are angled the correct direction for most Airstream windows, with unobstructed views, and yet you're close to town for groceries/gas/propane. Book early to secure a beachfront spot, but be prepared for a huge rip-off 20-50% WA State Park cancellation fee if you do end up cancelling your reservation! First-come-first-serve camping here is a pain due to staffing shortages, so just make a reservation online if you can do it early and know you're not going to cancel - the booth was only open one time during our many weeks here over the course of a few months.

It can get windy in the winter, and foggy in the summer, so be prepared for all sorts of weather - you have the honor of being the first to experience it before the rest of the peninsula.

Great jumping-off point for excursions into the Quinault Rainforest, as there isn't really much trailer/RV camping nearby up there. And you're right next to Seabrook which is a cute vacation town with nice restaurants. Hoquim/Aberdeen is close enough for any major box store needs, and there's a post office in town that's friendly to GENERAL DELIVERY packages.

You don't need to drive all the way out to Kalaloch to experience the beach in comfort, which can get super busy, loud, and smokey from all the tent campers. Dump station works well, with good quality water, electrical hookups were stable, and Verizon worked very well!

This spot was recommended to us by a friend but it is not the type of campsite we usually stay at. Sites are all wide open with no trees/foliage for screening and close together. Being right next to the beach was nice as you could hear the waves but it was quite windy. We were there during "off" season so reservations were not needed.

On the positive side, the restrooms were clean, there are showers (must buy tokens), and there was free wi-fi!

I am not sure how this isn't a more popular campground. We came through here from Astoria on our way to Port Angles and we really wished we would have stayed for longer. GREAT location. What I mean by great location, I mean there are absolutely nothing around except for an amazing beach. We stayed at a primitive site next to the beach and it was awesome. Sites and campground were well kept. The people that stay here all fly kites and it is truly a site to see. The check-in process was a little weird but I got over it fast. You have to go to the building that you would normally check-in and use the phone to check-in. There are parks people that come by several times a day. They do have showers that are in great working order and are clean. The showers do take special coins purchased from the same place you checked in. My wife and kids all agree that this was one our favorite campgrounds. If we are ever back through this area we will make a special trip for this campground.

We stayed here a few days at Xmas. Amazing ocean view and quite in the off season. The only issue we we saw were puddles here and there but everyone used their leveling blocks to get around them if needed. WIFI amazingly great but the park was half full. The bathrooms were well maintained. The check in station-office is to the right when you enter the park. You can easily get a large rig around the office if needed. You can’t beat the ocean view and only being a few feet from the beach. We had our heat on all night so the wave sounds were a little muffled.
