“The Only Home of Throwed Rolls”
Earl and Agnes Lambert with 14 cents between them, borrowed $1500 from Tish Jones and with 5 employees opened for business in a small building on South Main Street in Sikeston Missouri. It consisted of a 9 stool counter and 8 tables for a total seating capacity of 41 people. Their policy of serving vegetables, meat and dessert was immediately established. These were trying years for everyone, World War II and severe rationing made restaurant operation extremely difficult. The war years were greeted with many meatless days and supplies of all kinds were in short supply --- but somehow and some way they were able to hang on. Earl Lambert passed away in 1976, and his son Norman and wife Patti, entered into the restaurant business as partners to Agnes Lambert, who still worked eight hours a day, six days a week.

They wouldn’t make a reservation but assured me there would be a spot when we arrived, and there was. It was dark when we arrived and we didn’t find the payment kiosk at first, then it wouldn’t work. I called and was told the machine needed to be reset and was asked if we would try again after we got set up in a space. He was very nice and helpful over the phone. We chose a site, unhitched and hooked up with their full services, and then went back to pay.
I can recommend it if you need a single night in this area. Otherwise, I would skip it. It was like a gravel drive-in movie lot with water/elec/sewer instead of speakers. Sites are very close and the lot was almost full. There are no amenities other than WiFi. There is no grassy area or cement. There is road noise from nearby highway 65. That didn’t bother us, but I know some people prefer a quieter night.

We called to reserve a site but only got answering machine. We showed up to find automated check in. Site pretty tight but ok for one night. Then we find out someone had reserved our site. Manager was contacted and worked everything out.

Choose Lambert's for location close to family. It is a gravel lot and sites are close together. But the location and price made it an okay choice. Lucky for us it wasn't crowded when we were there. It was snow covered when we arrived, and it melted quickly without being messy. You do need to call managers from restaurant to come and unlock the electric box, so I wouldn't plan on arriving after closing time. PS...the throwed rolls are yummy!

Stay here each spring and fall on our way south/north. Bare hookups clean with no frills, lots of seasonal workers here, but not a problem. No facilities besides parking. Right behind Lamberts which has EXCELLENT FOOD/SERVICE.

This RV park is in an excellent location. I will definitely be back!
1) Check-in kiosk: This is very convenient.
2) Gravel Parking: The entire park is basically a gravel parking lot, but it’s in very good condition and actually pretty level.
3) Power pedestal: Looked brand new and worked great.
4) Water: Good water with great pressure and flow. Be sure to use a regulator.
5) Sewer Dump: There was one at my site, but I didn’t use it. But it appeared to be in excellent condition.

My kids LOVED having bread thrown at their heads! This is a Cracker Barrel style restaurant, nothing fancy or diet friendly, lots of comfort food!
The restaurant is great. Our waiter was very attentive. The RV park is behind the restaurant and is self-serve. Nothing fancy.
Love love love Lambert’s! Have been to both Missouri locations a ton of times growing up and as an adult. First trip with my husband and he loved it just as much! As always - great food, kind service and so much fun!
Great food great service fun family dinning make sure to be very hungry.
An annual stop with our boys...a must experience for anyone near the area. Food is delicious, rolls are always flying, topped with excellent customer service. We are never disappointed. 😍👍🏼👍🏼
