We always stop by on our trips to the Mulberry River. Haven't had a chance to try the restaurant out yet but am looking forward to it.
We use them when we take our own kayaks to the river. Beautiful area!
Primitive made it great...that shouldn’t take away from the amenities though. New showers, and a great little country store on site. Best place to go 4-wheeling, miles and miles of trails.

Right on the mulberry river great for floating not a place if your looking to relax. Sites have 30 amp service the water hookup isn’t at every site some places have up to 8 sites sharing water using splitters running well over 100 ft of hose. If you are looking for a private atv park they have lots of trails for off-roading. On site is a restaurant with great catfish and check in you can grab ice cream. they have an airstrip next to the rv sites, while we where there they had an air show of sorts that was pretty cool to watch. Makes staying at Byrd’s unique, can’t see that many places while camping. If you want a quite place this isn’t it there is off road vehicles driving all hours of the night and loud music but everyone was nice and friendly. Would stay again to use the access to the river and atv trails.

Had a fun few hours messing around some of their 4x4 trails in our Jeep. Lot's and lot's of other Jeep people around, many of whom are very friendly and up for going out on some of the really tricky trails in pairs etc. Seems like they have a lot of events and gatherings here, apart from the trails and campsites there is also a big events area with a stage, plus a restaurant/bar and a shop. Love it.
We stopped for a play on their off road course, which was very entertaining! There is a really well stocked shop which sells beer and the staff were very helpful. Also worth noting the other users of the site were friendly, even offering rides around the site in their tricked out jeeps.
You can do pretty much anything here, it's insane. Check out some of these events they do: http://www.byrdsadventurecenter.com/event-calendar/year-at-a-glance.html. There is something going on every weekend, practically. They started as a music venue in the 80s.
