The museum which opened in 2006 not only has tools that have been used in the United States, but also has tools from 4000 years ago including tools thought to be made by Egyptians and Romans in 400 B.C. A barbed-wire collection, old gas pumps, blacksmith tools and 125 tools representing 51 different railroads provides insight into earlier days in the United States. A gift shop which has many memorable items including a special $1.00 table for tools to take home and the latest addition of custom greeting cards with a tool flair that are the creation of Mary Gunderson is available to make purchases for that special tool enthusiast in your life.
