“Part of the City Beautiful”
As Orlando has evolved from a small City centered on the citrus industry to the rapidly growing metropolis we see today, Lake Eola remains an unchanging emblem of Downtown Orlando. It is surrounded by the dining and shopping of Thornton Park, South Eola District and the Central Business District, truly making Lake Eola the center of Downtown. The majestic fountain and graceful swan boats make Lake Eola an exceptional amenity to the area.
A lovely place to stroll around.
There are swan paddle boat rides and on Sundays there is an amazing farmers market. Definitely must check it out.
Lake Eola is really very pretty and it can be a nice place for a stroll, but there are a lot of homeless people about and I wouldn't recommend going there after dark.
In the middle of downtown Orlando awaits a picturesque park. Lake Eola Park offers an inexpensive respite from the city’s busy streets, with plenty of walking trails, open space, and playgrounds to keep the whole family entertained.
We think a visit here is one of the best FREE things to do in Orlando!
