“discover what's "out of this world!"”
One of 4 theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, Epcot theme park sprawls across 300 acres—twice the size of Magic Kingdom Park—and is divided into Future World and World Showcase. Discover a place where "out of this world" is well within reach...where flying high isn't that tall of an order...and where you can travel the world just as easily as walking a city block. You'll discover all this—and so much more—at Epcot park. Here, creativity is encouraged, imagination is celebrated and countries are united. Be amazed, inspired, enlightened and entertained!
My favorite things to do in Epcot are eat and drink. You can get a Kyr Royale (champagne and cassis in "France") and then stroll along the sidewalks which twinkle at night. Not many people know that there's a pretty butterfly garden behind MouseGear, and the temple in "China" was designed to be acoustically-perfect. Try standing in the middle of the room and say something, you're voice will echo right back to you. It's pretty rad. I also love Mission Space. Has been one of my favorite things to do in Disney since I was young.
When I went to Epcot on a grade school field trip I was kind of dreading it cause I thought I was being tricked into thinking learning was fun, but when I actually went it was by far my favorite part of Disney World. There were plenty of engaging activities as well as shows out in the open that require no audience participation if you're just taking in the sights. Just remember, EPCOT stands for Every Person Comes Out Tired.
I was not a big fan of Disney World over all when I visited (in 5th grade) but Epcot was my favorite. The science and the cultural exhibits appealed to me and I had a grand time.
When my kids inevitably demand we go to Disney World, I will be sure to take them to Epcot.
Epcot was one of my favorite things about Disney World the few times I've been. Being a kid and seeing all of the different cultural exhibits appealed to my nerdy curiosity, and going back as a teenager I could appreciate the rides a bit more. Worth checking out if you're in the area!
Epcot is easily the best part of Disney World! As a kid, I loved all the science and technology exhibits. It helped shaped the nerdy kid in me.
I am a big fan of Epcot center. Been twice, both times the kids and adults had a blast.
With the crash test and soaring flight, there are more rides than their used to be and it's less frenetic and more leisurely than the other parks. Well paced I'd say.
Epcot is typically the adults favorite theme park of Disney World, because it provides a little bit more culture and The World Showcase is stunning. There, you can go to 20 or so different "countries" (each country is about one block long), all surround a gorgeous lake. "Around the World" is a drinking game the brave play, getting/finishing a drink from each of the countries (the tequila bar in Mexico is my favorite).
This place was... underwhelming. The science and tech parts are fun for a kid, or to be nostalgic for, but nowadays, they all kind of seem dingy and rundown. It's pretty obvious Disney is pouring a lot more money into anything remotely related to Pixar (which you'd think would live at Epcot), Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Those are all great parks. This one is a very okay park.
There's also a "backdoor" entrance that connects Epcot Theme Park to Disney's Disney's Hollywood Studios. So you can travel from one park to the other by ferry boat or on foot.
I don't want to be mean but the hand that says Epcot on it by the gulf ball was tore down in the 90's and it's been gone for a long time
