Alvord Desert

First time here, Late October, it was cold but clear and incredible. Drove out on the flat from the Frog Springs access point. I was in a sedan so I didn't venture to far. Great space for solitude and inspiration. The view of Steens Mountain for the Playa is something you should experience. The road getting there was in great shape, gravel but smooth. I saw a heard of antelope on the way in and a Bald eagle perched on a fence on my way out. GREAT Oregon Destination.
