We had tent camping reservations and our site was flooded out and they refused to provide a refund, kind of a bummer.

This park was beautiful! Large biking paths and plenty to do! The resident elk are amazing!

Located on the Oregon side of the Columbia River, this campground is a popular destination for nature lovers. There is plenty to do in and around Fort Stevens State Park, and they've got sites for RVs and tents, along with cabins too. We think this is one of the best stops on an Oregon coast camping trip.

Aside from the mentally disturbed young man yelling in the next campsite, we had a lovely spot. It was nice and private (something that many Oregon state parks lack), had power and water, and Oregon state parks have free showers. No more fumbling for change! I would definitely stay here again.

Fort Stevens is an incredible place to camp. With the ocean, lake and historical sites all within a bike ride, my kids were never bored. The sites were great and we had plenty of room for our trailer and more.

Fort Stevens was the primary military defense installation in the three fort Harbor Defense System at the mouth of the Columbia River (Forts Canby and Columbia in Washington were the other two). The fort served for 84 years, beginning with the Civil War and closing at the end of World War II. Today, Fort Stevens has grown into a 4,200 acre park offering exploration of history, nature, and recreational opportunities.Camping, beachcombing, freshwater lake swimming, trails, wildlife viewing, an historic shipwreck and an historic military area make Fort Stevens a uniquely diversified park. A network of nine miles of bicycle trails and six miles of hiking trails allow you to explore the park through spruce and hemlock forests, wetlands, dunes, and shore pine.Coffenbury Lake has two swimming areas, a picnic area, restrooms, and a boat ramp (10 mph boating speed limit). Two other smaller lakes offer boat ramps for fishing and canoeing.
