I just loved this campground. I was blown away at how cool the sites were. We were lucky enough to get a riverside site with a private beach. Fishing was said to be very good according to a neighbor, but I didn't have time to prove that. This was our family's one-night stop before heading north to Crater Lake. Midweek there was hardly anyone there in late June.
The Prospect Ranger District of the Rogue River National Forest invites visitors to explore the upper Rogue River country. Located in the Cascade Mountains , the District's 242,000 acres offer a variety of natural features and recreational opportunities. The District is bisected by the Rogue-Umpqua Scenic Byway, and provides access to the Sky Lakes and Rogue-Umpqua Divide Wilderness areas, the Wild and Scenic Upper Rogue River, and adjoins Crater Lake National Park. Farewell Bend campground is located in the Rouge River National Forest.
