“alabama island paradise!”
This 2,050-acre park is proud to serve as a premier fishing destination with its 1,000-acre stream-fed lake. As the primary park attraction, Lake Jackson, in addition to providing outstanding fishing and swimming opportunities, also features shoreline picnic areas. Lakefront RV camping sites with cable TV hookups and a nice modern bathhouse make it a great camping destination. There's also a natural island, with a boardwalk and walking path.
Best State Park that we’ve been to. Clean, well manicured, beautiful sites, trails, and staff!
Frank Jackson State Park is a true gem. Plenty of well maintained walking trails, a campground with the BEST views of the lake, and a playground. The fishing is great, and there are seasonal activities like a great 4th of July event the entire town usually shows up for, as well as Scarecrows in the Park in October and November. Sometimes it's hard to get a spot at the campground, so don't wait if you're hoping to book.
