“the gathering place since 1946”
The '211' was built in 1946 and was originally a log cabin ice cream parlor. Over the years it gradually changed owners and became famous for it's burgers, pizza and sandwiches as well as serving alcoholic beverages. Further ownership changes brought about name changes and full course dinners and entrees. However, no matter the owner, the menu, or the name, the establishment was always fondly known as "The 211". Unfortunately in 2008, the 211 closed and remained closed until 2011. Through the efforts of a local couple, Matt and Barb Pasella, the 211 has now re-opened as the 211 Bar & Grill and going back to what made it famous-- The best burgers and pizza in the North. Matt and Barb both have business experience with many years in the food service industry. Through their hard work, they hope to again make the 211 Bar & Grill one of the most famous eateries in the North. Please stop by and visit the New, but the same 'old 211'. We are sure you will find The 211 Bar & Grill just the same as you remember it. The same quality food and service that has made 'The 211' famous all over Michigan's Up North. A new set of owners, a new menu, a new name but still the "Gathering Place" for northern Michigan.
